Bridal Flowers- Ethereal

Posted by | Hair | No Comments

There are so many types of styles for brides these days.  There is vintage, classic, romantic, Hollywood glam, and more.  One of my faves is ethereal or romantic.  It reminds me of Romeo and Juliet.  Organic, loose chignons, natural braids, perfectly messed up coifs.  Just add flowers for that perfect look.  LOVE

Bohemian Beach Waves

Summer is here and my favorite beach style is bohemian waves.  They are sexy, beachy, and best of all, EASY  to do.  My favorite product to use is Boho Waves by Alterna’s Bamboo line.  Shampoo hair and condition.  Comb hair with a wide tooth comb.  Scrunch dry with a towel (do not rub!)  Spray Boho Waves throughout hair.  Scrunch again and airdry, or blowdry using a diffuser attachment.  So easy!16229

Wedding Hairstyle of the Week: A Structured Chignon

Posted by | Hair | No Comments

I know that Etsy is a font of wedding style inspiration, but it didn’t occur to me until I was browsing the shop of veil and bridal accessory designer Tessa Kim yesterday that the site can also be a great resource for wedding hairstyle inspiration. The models wearing Tessa Kim‘s birdcage veils and fascinators are also sporting some very lovely updos—one of my favorites was the chignon pictured above. I love the volume at the crown and the loopy, wavy bun (see the hairstyle from the front angle here). The bonus is that you also get to see how the hairstyle will look when paired with a veil or wedding-appropriate hair accessory (not always the case with celebrity-inspired updos). Want more?
